Anyone down for doing a Sex change on a E28?

My friend is going to be selling my first e28 1988 eta back to me,But what sucks its a slushbox with about 300k on it. Car runs good But I think its time for a overhaul.

I want to do a Rebuild and convert it to 5 speed.
so If your in phoenix,or LA i can drive to you and ill bring the doner vehical.

please only if you have the time to do this.

The shops in phoenix are scared to do this. thanks

Just to point it out but a little custom fab is required. E28 Automatics did not have the rear shift carrier bracket and that will need to be cut off a donor car (or fabbed) and welded or bolted into place.

WOW I had no clue about that....My friend was talking about doing that next weekend.....I am going to tell him ASAP! I think he thinks its an easy swap like the e30
