    Looking at this E30...

Hi all, new here. I'm looking at getting this 1988 320i with original M-Tech 2 add ons. here's the specs>

    Year: 1988
    Car: 320i (M20B20)
    Mileage: 240,000km
    Advertised Price: $3,000
Other: Automatic, redone interior, couple dents on the body, M-Tech 2 body kit and suspension.

Being an E30 noob, whats a good price to offer? $3000 sounds a bit too much, especially since it's not very popular here. I'm currently in Cali and i'll be back in a couple days to see the car.

    Thanks all :D

Offer 2000 and see where it gets you. That kit looks to be in good order, the seats are scary.

      Avoid it.
The car is beat with sveral areas of body damage.
The kit is wavy and beat in some spots and the rear "valance" has been sliced from the bumper.
The rear valance is very riced out.
Pus its a automatic with a 2.0 ....its gotta be slow as hell.

it's hard to find a E30 in this condition (as in good) i have yet to see it but when i do i'll check the body out. Almost every E30 i've seen on the road is auto, so a 5spd swap is in order.

I guess they don't have Halloween over there or that interior would have never ended up in that combo...............

maybe i should've mentioned that im not looking for a mint e30, i already have a g35 sedan for a dd, so the e30 is more of a weekend car. i dont mind fixing the car a little here and there as its part of the fun to me. however my question is what should i offer the guy? i heard 2k which sounds reasonable. any more input appreciated. thanks all!

That is not a real M-Tech 2. That is why it is so wavy. Look at the details of the front and rear valence. Fiberglass replicas.

What I'd do is go to www.kellybluebook.com and put in the info in the used car section (search by year make model) to get the suggested price and go with the lowest one as your first offer :D
