hey all,
i was introduced to a great deal on another car... and after much thinking, i decided to buy it. I'm still keeping my 325is, but it will be a daily driver for now.
I figured that in order for my 325 to be a project car, i would need to convert to a 5spd and rebuild the motor for a turbo... none of that sounded too appealing to me and the car is so damn reliable that i didn't want to mod it any further than I already have.
Here's the car. Its got a rebuilt motor and new clutch. Theres some small stuff that needs to be taken care of (sunroof doesn't work, etc). But that shouldn't be too hard. Since this car already has a manual tranny and rebuilt motor, i'm going to supercharge it with a twin-screw whipple unit. The guy I share a garage with has already designed a kit and it puts out 350hp/375tq on the dyno with 6-7psi.
I am not leaving BMW, i just feel that this car has alot of potential. It handles very well and has gobs of power.
