If no cops were called say it never happened. He has no proof you hit him without a police report or anything signed by you. You’re word vs. his. If he is going to be shady so should you.
Lessons learned
1 Don’t use cell phones and drive
2 Always call cops
3 Don’t move cars
4 Exchange info
On another note always make sure you have a lot of uninsured motorist protection especially living in FL where half the drivers are illegal and without a license let alone insuranceLast edited by naplesE30; 08-14-2009, 06:37 AM.

You should call your own insurance and give them a heads up. It won't hurt if he does nothing but him dropping the "hurt back" card could possibly be a huge head ache for you later on. I rear ended someone in my 2002, destroying it, and denting the tailgate on his truck. He pulled the neck card from the start but I foolishly didn't report it to my insurance thinking it didn't matter. I gave him all my info thinking he would get right on it but instead he decides to tell his insurance company I had no insurance and they send the bill to collections. After dealing with all of that and my insurance company takes it out of my hands I think its all OK. 4 years later I am served with a lawsuit at my door by the guy demanding $40,000 because I hurt his neck so bad he can never surf again. I thought there was a time limit and was right but apparently he is such a moron it has taken him 2 years to get the right paperwork together for them to serve the papers to me. The guy was never able to prove he was hurt, the hospital and doctor were able to show there was never anything wrong with him and he still eventually got $25,000 out of it. Not that I could have avoided any of that by talking to my insurance company right away but I could have avoided the collections mess. The majority of people are pieces of shit and it sounds like that guy you are dealing with is probably going to try and screw you over. I'm still pissed about that whole mess.

yes but all in all it was his fault. the collision was his fault, and not having insurance certainly was. i would be bitching someone out way worse than this lady, and the cops wouldve been called. taking the money was dick though.

Yea, its hard to find decent people nowadays. I would feel extremely guilty doing that too. Its just wrong in every way.

He really doesn't need to give you any of his info. I never do when it's not my fault and the other person acknowledges it.
