just got back from fishing on Vancouver Island, in 2 days of fishing we caught around 15 king salmon and 5 halibut. It's actually somewhat enjoyable if the fish bite, good luck!

I love fishing and will kill to be on a boat slaying some salmon.... Nothing better then catching a fish on a fly you tied.

We brought home 5 decent sized fish: 1 Chinook and 4 Coho.

Great time, but that fish was basically about $40/lb.

Pics when I get them off the wifes camera.

                GL fishing

will you be using barbed hooks, or you will be giving them the sporting chance?

I was wondering, because Ive never fished the west coast. I was wondering how these salmon move around, and how deep they are when theyre in that area.

Do you guys troll, or drift? Live bait, or lures? Off the coast of Nantucket we did alot of striped bass fishing, they move around similar to how salmon do when in season, just not such a long haul. We would drift at around 200', with live eel.

I imagine fresh salmon being phenomenal eating. Id be liable to filet it on the boat and eat that sucker raw.

Apparently, about 20 to 40 feet deep. We were trolling with both 2"ish spoons and dead little fish (anchovies? dunno.) and were were moving pretty slowly.

Kim grilled some of that Salmon. I thought I was gonna puke...fuck cooked fish. Sushi FTW!
