I ordered a kit from autohaus AZ. They sent be a gates belt instead of a conti. Should I run the gates or delay my completion and send it back? The gates is more expensive through them.

go with conti. it is original bmw... no experience with gates. but for a critical item such as a timing belt, i wouldn't go with anything other then original. -

I've ran gates before and they are very comparable. I wouldn't hesitate to use it in my car. No problems at all. I'm running contitech now, but only because it is what the indie shop ordered for me... I don't see why you would delay for another week. Gates' are very respectable belts.sigpicComment

What's the difference between (PT# T131 Gates T-Belt 127 tooth) vs the (PN # T106 Gates T-belt 128 tooth)? I don't understand the difference between them? The car is an 85 325e 5 speed.

I am currently running all gates belts on my 91 Nissan pathy, and personally think its a excellent choice.
