Montana, eh? Ouch. I considered going to Carroll College in Helena...

    What're you going to study?

Why would you pay out of state tuitino to go to a Montana state school? Doens't UW have a good engineering program?

        Sat/Act score?

Things can easily change with a good score. I didnt do shit in HS but getting a 31 opened a lot of doors.
        Im now E30less.

u of m's a good school, but it's reputation is as more of a liberal arts school. msu-bozeman has a strong engineering school, or did when i was a student there. you could probably do alright by u of m, though.

From what I hear they put everyone who smokes the dro in one dorm instead of kicking them out and you can basically snowboard for a degree, heard this from a guy who got kicked out but still could get into KU.

I would go snow and mountains and cool atmosphere.

You got a criminal record or something?

1450 SAT, and at least "decent" (~2.5) grades in HS will get you in to just about any major public college save for Ivy league and some private colleges.

Or possibly a joke of a HS. If your school is weaksauce, then they factor that in too. (In state schools have a history with each high school and know what kinda kids are turned out from each.)

Shit, I had a 1450 SAT and Purdue was all over it. Full tution and then some, and licked my balls too.

highschool is a joke anyway. You can turn yourself around after highschool.
I averaged a C- in highschool. Barely got into a community college
Then for the first time, I tried hard, got a gpa of 3.9 and now I'm studying at one of the best Universities in Canada.
The point is, just because you didn't get into the school you really wanted to goto, don't compromise for anything else - you can always tranfer over to a different school.
