ABS hydro pump P/N's ?

Hello,

I would like to know if over the years the ABS pump got different P/N or updates or even better, if all the e30 m3 ABS pumps are the same or interchangable between each other leaving alone the ABS module in place (factory installed).

I ask this because mine isn't working fine(e30 m3 1990 US specs with P/N 0 265 200 042) at the moment and a friend is offering me his ABS pump almost for free but his P/N ends in 040 and belongs to a 325i or e or sort of (he has to shipp it to me from USA) but I'm not sure if it will work.

I just checked the ABS pump on my other e30 M3 1987 Euro spec, and has P/N 0 265 200 035

Now looking at the BMW Fans site I can't find any of these P/N for the ABS pump.

I'm not sure if all these three or four (link) P/N's listed are interhcnagable between each other and work just fine.

ANy help much appreciated.
