Hey guys. Newest Newbie here. I finally got an E30, and can't wait to go broke working on 'er. This seems like a pretty cool group- I'm sure I'll be needing your advice often.

The car is an automatic (yuck) 325e. Kinda gutless, but a list of performance upgrades and low price made it a nice deal. I'm seriously interested in doing an M50/5 speed swap in the very near future, especially after seeing all the available information. Any leads on a fair-priced engine/tranny combo and other miscellaneous would be greatly appreciated.

The front end is shot. A rebuild is definitely in order. Does anyone have a M3/Z3 rack in good shape? I'm pretty sure I can handle that little swap.

Are there any members in the Eastern PA area? Specifically, the Lehigh Valley? I do auto body for a living, and I'm fairly mechanical- but I know I'll need help. A new friend or two wouldn't hurt, either.

I have some money to put into this project, but I'd also be willing to trade bodywork for parts, help, knowledge, etc.

What he said, I am here in williamsport working (e30 is at home though) and what not and have to hit allentown ever so often to go to the shop. Theres quite a few r3vers in PA
