Speeding tickets..

aslo how many of you guys have radar detectors/jammers..?
i am assuming that they are not legal.. so.. yeah.. not sure what kind of responce im going to get..

oh that might have been aussie slang or something. i assumed you meant "how often do you get one for speeding?" i have never received a ticket in my life because i drive like a sissy. actually no, every time i speed it is only when i know there will be no cops around, which is on the freeway at 2 am. i'm a defensive driver otherwise. i don't wanna wreck my daily driver because it has been so faithful to me

i have had one ticket for going 18kms over the limmit.. and had suspended licence for 3 mths.. :(

I've received 2 in my 318. The legality of radar detectors is regulated my individual states. Oregon allows them, but I don't have one.

I have been pulled over 8 times, 7 in the past 2 years.

I received 1 ticket, the first one, paid it because i didnt know any better. I've talked my way out of the other 7.

I don't have a radar detector, and I generally dont speed. I just get unlucky when I do. Then I get lucky.

I have gotten at least 2 tickets / a year for speeding since I turned 16 now I'm 26 so 20 or so. But in KS you pay double and the tickets go bye bye = inattentive driving or a steep parking ticket, since they tripled the fines her I have been more cautious and got a radar detector, and since then have not gotten one. I drive like a bastard, you know 80-90 on the highways, regardless of posted speed limit. In town I drive mellow 43 in 35 etc. As libertarian I don't believe in traffic regulations and pay the price for it. Oh well.

If you speed, you might get caught. Get a Valentine One, or learn to be a persausive speaker.

I've gotten two through my years, and got out of a few times I had gotten pulled over, speeding or otherwise. If you don't like to get pulled over:
1) Don't speed
2) Don't get detected
3) Don't get caught (my idiot 'friends' run from the cops)

Generally cops are making sure you obey the law and remain safe. If you are weaving through traffic, they will likely pull you over faster than just speeding. If you feel the speed limits are stupidly low, write your representative. If everyone who whined about tickets and was actually 18+ voted and moved for it, we could get something changed. Hell, we have enough people to lobby for change here already, if they are of legal age that is.

hell yah.. valentines are the shit... i "borrowed" my dads for my trip to south carolina and it picked up cops anywhere bet 1-2 miles away.. sooo nice.

Very nice. My friend has the little K symbol thing on his license plate, because his dad is a cop. This K somehow someway shows he's a cop or related to one. He's had cops ride his ass see the K thingy and turn away because they think he's a off duty cop.

As for my tickets. Just one 50 feet from my house. There's a school zone and the cop was hiding behind a large neighborhood sign and I started accelerating thinking the school zone ended at the sign. He had to go back to his book then told me it ends at the crosswalk, so he radared me in between about 8 feet. Guy wouldn't let it go so I went to traffic school. Going to be buying a Valentine, sold my pretty nice Passport to a friend.
