take it to court. in washington state, you can have ask the judge to have a ticket deffered every 7 years, it won't show on your record or be reported to your insurance. You'll still have to pay the fine and you can't get any tickets for like a year (might be 3). If you do get another ticket down the road, you get the old ticket on your record plus the new one, so drive nice!

1st) Ask to see the last date the Radar was checked and certified by the state sometimes they don't get around to it.
2nd) take a picture of the turn plead with the court about the ticket, about the speed and how you couldn't have been going that fast.
3rd) Tell the court you got new tires and that it must have changed the reading on your car's speedometer, by 7mph.
4th) Set-up a trial date and then get a continuance granted and then the cop will be forced to show up on his day off. It is unlikely the cop will take off two days for one ticket, as they schedule Cop court dates on there days off. And it will piss him off. Remember though you go to trial you can't get the ticket diverted. You must win at trial. If the cop doesn't show you win.
5th) Shoot the cop the night before the trial, remember alibi is your best friend.
6th) JUst pay double and take the diversion and swear at the cop in your head for 15min. and when ever you see a cop flick him off, below his line of sight, just to ge the frustration out.
This is not actual legal advice please do not rely upon my words only!E30 325ix 62k

Go for it know any lawyer buddies?
Take the court through the whole process, ask for discovery and the you'll get to see what the cop wrote on the back of the ticket this is exactly what he will rehash in court because he gives some many tickets that he will not remember you and it will be 6 months down the line when it goes to court.
What time of night was this?
Was the stop pretextual to see if you were DUI?
Was there enough traffic around that it literally might not have been you speeding it might have been someone else?
This is not legal advice please do not just depend on my word.E30 325ix 62k

unless you've done a defferment before, I'd go with that. if you lose your case, which is likely, you'll have to pay the ticket and it will definetly go on your record, but it won't with a defferment. Save your lawyer money and buy a radar detector.

I wouldn't base the speed he caught you going off the tones or signal strength of your radar detector. He very well could have caught you going the 48mph he said he did further back.
Do the police use planes where you are?
Good luck eitherway.Current BMW's:
