The 88 I bought is a POS. Pretty much everything the PO did needs to be re-done. So does everything he didn't touch. The plan was to just throw money at it, but I don't have THAT much money.
I found an 89 325is 5-speed that took a relatively minor front hit. Super cheap. The guy replaced damn near everything, and then wrecked it. I'm thinking of buying it, but I don't want to part out the 88. I'd rather sell it as it sits.
Does anyone have a rear hit/no drivetrain/no interior 89-91? Hell, all I need is fenders forward, so if you've got a front clip laying around that would work.
I appreciate everyone's offers to help with the front suspension, but this is way more up my alley. Now I won't have to do the 5-speed swap, or pretend my car wasn't originally an 'e'. I won't have to dump all of my 'mod' money into making it safe to drive. Sweet.
So, if I can find a clip, I'll have a really ratty, teenage ricey looking auto 325e for sale. :)
