Cost to Ship an Engine to Canada?

I'm getting tired of waiting for an s52 or s50 to turn up locally, just wondering who out there has had engines shipped across the country and what the cost was, what shipping company was used etc.

id say atleast 250-300 US bucks to ship an s52 across the country. my s50 cost about 100 bucks to ship 500 miles or so. this was ups freight subcontracted to another freight company. the truck showed up the day after it was shipped. youll need a business to have it delivered to of course.

if it goes residential it needs to be on a truck with a lift gate, which is usually a good chunk of change. Try http://www.engineshipping.com/ for a quote, dunno if they do CA though.
