    Breather hose Necessary?

Just as it says? I cracked mine and the car runs the same without it. Im ordering it but it will be in in a few days. Can i just put a mini filter on it like they do on some tuner cars? Im pretty sure I can but just want someone elses opinion... thnx;)

Im pretty sure you will have a pretty bad vaccum leak without it. Just like if you had your oil cap off.

but from the looks of it it just blows air out, the valve cover itself has baffling chamber in the inside. I know what u mean by the oil cap but it's running exactly the same, not dying like with a crazy vacuum leak like the cap... Anyone else?

from what i remember from school breather hoses are to let air escape but not straight to the atmosphere. Thats why old muscle cars have the little filters on them, and when tuners eliminate them they also install them.

It is not vacuum but does connect to the intake upstream of the butterfly and will allow unmetered air past the AFM and should run different.

The turbo guys NEED to remove it so not to pressurize the crankcase, if it is all stock injection just replace the hose.

I am replacing it. Its just it will take a few days to come in. For the intake side i was just going to plug it with a rubber cap until it comes in. Sounds bad?

should be fine for a couple days. I know people that run with these hoses cracked and broken for a long time without any negative effects.

Put a cap on the port on the TB and a breather/filter on the valve cover. I've been running mine like that for some time now.
