    I "R3ved" My Fucken Rear End

    I broke somthing today:) under heavy lode load my Car goes CLUNk CLunk CLunk and goes verry slow... So IM kinda stumped my ring and pinion look great. I have a lot of IN and out play on my passenger side half shaft Im thinking that might be it. My drivers side has almost none compaired to my Pass side. Is there anything that goes wrong with the LSD internaly that could cause that, that I cant see with out pulling it apart?


    O ya Im taking a dinner break just want some imput from you guys. after this im going to pull my half shafts and inspect them.

    sounds like a half shaft to me.

      Cages in the halfshafts are toast.

        I think so to. I had some debris in my diff lots of metalic shavings and a few pencil lled size chunks of metal as well is there any way for it to make its way threw?

          Halfshaft debris DON'T go into your diff, they stay in the rubber boots. If you have debris in the diff, then they come from the diff. Your diff is probably shot.
          Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

            OK cool Im gonna pull it all apart right now and see what it was if my diffs toast Im going with a 3.46 lsd.

              If bitses of metal go in between the gears, that can lock the rear wheels. Be carefull.
              Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

                  YA ive had that happen before in my lifted chevy going down the freeway at 80mph the rear end locked up and ripped the teeth off the pinion and the only thing that saved my ass was the u-joint ripping the ass end of the driveline. Im gonna fchange it any way I found a few good diffs in the yard today.

                  The half shaft was toast on the passenger side. Im gonna swap those out to with some new ones.

                    Had my diff checked out and its in great shape. All that the shop said was it was clutch material I saw in the diff. There wasn't verry much I just saw just a few balls.
                    So if anyone is looking for a known good 3.73 lsd I have it out and would sell it for 200.
