They sure do compliment each other well. By compliment, I mean having an E36 with A/C is nice in the summer time if you removed the A/C from your black E30.

I fell in love with my e36 M3, its everything wraped in one. Trust me, the car performs well in every category. Its a very comfortable car to drive...

I love my 328i. much more refined, luxurious, etc. e30 is much more tossable, and feels more responsive, but to be honest at a trackday I think a 2.5 or 2.8 e36 may beat a 2.5 e30.
while right now I have a 328 as a dd and am working on a trackcar, if I had just an e30 I would probably upgrade to an e36 m3. I plan on ditching my e36 for a 4 dr m3 as soon as I can, I just can't decide if I want a 328 and a track car or an m3 dd/use it for trackdays and take my build gradually on the track carLeave a comment:

Well.. I have to agree with OP. Im kinda thinking about e36 M3. I drove a couple and especially the verts are primo fun. A bit more refined than the e30, but almost as much a drivers car.
I admit. the e36 was the first move away from a more "purist" sports sedan, but hey; they have all moved that way. Alfa, MB, Jag,etc. just not the same as in the 80's and for sure 70's movement in true sports sedans.
So ya gotta kinda hate the e36ers for that, but they are pretty cool. Id rock a silver or alpine, or black e36 M3 tomorrow.Leave a comment:

E36 are far from "luxurious." I've driven several, not impressed. They handle very well in stock form, but as we all know E30 > E36Leave a comment:
