Eta problems, help?

I have an 87 eta, the cooling system wont work and when this happened the parking brake, brake, and battery lights all came on and have been on since, I just replaced the thermostat today and its still doing it. The temperature gauge goes straight to red, anyone have any ideas? Especially about the lights, is that a code?

sounds like faulty SI board/gauge cluster. nothing to do with your cooling system... you really think your car could heat up to full red temp instantly?

It doesnt go up instantly, sorry, didnt explain that part very well. It warms up normal, then keeps going until it gets to the red.

Sounds like your pump and belts. If your alt isnt getting turned, all the lights will be on.

At least you got it fixed. I had that belt snap 250 miles from home last summer.
