Trying to source "centered head unit" console part

Can anyone help me source a “centered head unit” console plate?

part# 1 in diagram:


I thought there’d be two related blanks for either side of the head unit- but it looks like they’re incorporated in the one piece.
Here’s a picture that was once posted:


if anyone knows the part number and/or a place to order it from, that’d be great.

Well, I'd try getting one of the UK or German guys to pick one up at the boneyard. They come from a base model 316. You could probably look up the part number based on it being an early model 316 part and the accurate one would be displayed. You can order through BMW or Blunt, choose your poison.

In the case that you already knew it came in a 316, I'll delete this post so that it doesnt clutter your thread. I just wanted to help steer you in the right direction.

Edit-- I looked up the part number for you. 316 HVAC surround--- 64 11 9 061 983

Standard one--- 64 11 1 385 879 (dont order this one, just posted so that you know the other one should be correct.)

^^That number applies to a lot of early and late cars including the 316, 324td, 318is's, 320is's, M3's and so on. Lots of cars that shouldnt have had the center mounted radio setup. It's a European/Japanese market part number, but I think there might be a difference in what is printed on it.
