Ebay wide angle lens?

I'm looking at wide angle lens' on ebay and there are some from like 30 bucks... I'm new to the camera game so i dunno if they are complete crap like the majority of stuff on ebay. Is it worth it?
Looking for useful insight from people with some 1st hand knowledge/ experience about them, not rants about ebay stuff in general.
Any information would be great.

Ehhh i would stay away. I always stick to craigslist and pawn shops when looking for camera stuff.

Always check craigslist... I got all my lenses from locals for a fraction of retail and ebay.

Pretty blurry looking compared to a real wide angle lens. Don't waste your money.
