Porsche only did this for 2 years (69-70 IIRC ) and discontinued it because station attendents were putting gas in there insted of the flap on the front fender drivers side.

Plus the 935, but that probably shouldnt count (not many of those around..).

That car is sweet though. I love early and back-date styled Porsches. Those wheels were sourced through the shop (Zuffenhaus) behind mine that ordered them to be built. Very cool to see them mentioned on the autoblog.

after that is was moved to the engine compartment.

nice vintage touch though.

i like the car very subtle and clean.

similar thing on vw vanagons. oil fill is behind the license plate like a gas fill would be. could cause confusion if you dont know any better, like the guy at the gas pump.
