OMG...I've ever seen anyone do something like that!

I guess the o.p. thinks six 10mm nylock nuts can support the entire weight of the car

only to the untrained eye, lol. the d2 coil overs i got did not lower the front enough. so instead of cutting the spring and possibly ruining the way the suspension is supposed to work i flipped the plates to the top, reinforced the bottom side and ran bolts all the way through. i got the extra 3/4" i wanted without compramising travel.

haven't had any problems, i also love when people look at something different and complain or put down rather than look at was was achieved and praise. please dont turn this into a bashing thread talking about how you would have done something different or how you feel something is unsafe or stupid. fact is i drove 500 miles on this fresh build and nothing has failed and i am still alive. i started this thread to see if anyone got pics or vids of my car, if you want to complain about it feel free to start your own thread bashing my car somewhere else! thanks

I didn't mean to bash your work. The swap is impressive. But this is a safety issue. The way you have those things installed, the weight of the car isn't sitting on the plate but hanging off the mounting bolts. Those bolts are designed to support the weight of the struts when the suspension is fully unloaded...but they are not strong enough to support the full weight of the entire front end. Sooner or later they will fail.

so you are a engineer? you know the grade of bolt that i used? if anything fails it will be the camber plate before the bolts, thats really what you should be worried about. if you think what i did is unsafe you should see the guy who i got the idea from... he has his spaced up 2" and he drifts his car at drift events practically every weekend, talk about bolts taking some abuse... if you wish to keep talking about safety issues on my car please start another thread to do so. i really don't care what people say because there is always gonna be someone who is smarter or would have done it better. I'm just saying, please put those comments elsewhere. you can even PM me your safety issues and we can talk them out. just please leave that out this thread that is supposed to be about getting pics of my car. thanks again.

that is a pic before the car was even wired. wire harness has been wrapped and tucked since then.

Tread lightly. This guy seems really sensitive.

Don't flame his unsafe camber plates! Drifters do it with no problems!

again, i don't care what is said. all's I'm asking is to please keep them comments out of my "did you get pics of my car" thread. i will start another thread just for you guys to bash my build, is that cool? will that help get the point across? look for the "bash my build" thread and leave all comments in there. thanks again
