Got a call back from my adjuster finally...
Apparently the adjuster I was working with before was out of town so I got in contact with his supervisor.
It sounds like they are going to fight for me, starting by tracking down the witness in person (ie find out where he lives) :)
Also, they said they would support me if I have to go to small claims court with all necessary documentation and evidence
Mercury ftw!
Another one bites the dust

Try to get the free lawyers where they get paid only if u win, still doesnt cost u money at all. They just take a percentage out of your winnings like 33% most the time. So u dont have to pay nothing.Leave a comment:

Thanks guys... on the bright side I have a new e30 which I'll be putting pics up of soon.
Needs a lot or work but so does any 20 year old car and it gets me to work for now.
My first thought was to rebuild but I needed something to get me to work.
The damage is worse than it looks, it would at the very least need a new radiator support, hood, fender, control arm, tie rod, possibly strut housing, radiator, etc etc and even if I did fix it it would be a salvage titled car.
Also the shift linkage might have gotten hosed, as I noticed it was really hard to get into gear to move it off the street.
The only reason I would keep it would be for a track car or something but I just can't afford it right now.
If anyone wants to buy the whole car for rebuilding I'll entertain offers...Leave a comment:

It does look fixable but if he's got some financial stress right now, then it's obviously best not to.
I agree with INS Co's being legalized organized crime. It's lose lose if you want to be able to drive a car and not get totally boned. Thankfully I've had a pretty decent time with mine.
OP, I hope everything works out with the motorcycle case at least.Leave a comment:

[quote=Van Westervelt;1695446]Dang, that sucks man! I was cut off and brake checked by a b***h about 4 years ago, and my ins co Pregressive admitted fault to "protect" me from a judgment. 5 mph collision, she claimed injury, and my insurance paid out 100k. Total BS. Ins is sadly another form of organized crime in this day and age. The people who pay for it are the honest victims.
I forgot to reply to the important part, and that is the damn truth.
It took pacific specialty until about a week ago or so to finally pay off the last of the payment due to the mc shop who fixed up my bike. Thats more than 6 months, and my own damn insurance company needed prodding from all directions to finally take care of it. Which is especially funny considering they are getting all their money back as the lady who hit me is 100% at fault!
F*ck insurance. If I didn't know the shop owner my bike would have been sitting there the whole time

He was an older mexican guy who barely spoke english.
He hardly said a word except when I asked for his license and insurance info.
Yes, I called my agent and adjuster but neither have called me back.
I guess I figured since the other persons insurance did the investigation they were the last word, but now that i think about it that doesn't sound right at all. I don't understand why my insurance didn't investigate.
Hopefully I'll get an answer later today.Leave a comment:

what did the guy say about the accident?
if he turned right across the front of your car, what was his excuse?Leave a comment:

Have you spoken to your insurance agent yet? Your company may go to bat for you if they feel you were not at fault. Or, they may argue comparative negligence if they feel there was some fault with both parties.
Call your agent, thats what you pay them for.
Either way, sorry about your car.Leave a comment:

LOL I figured it would happen sooner or later.
I haven't figured out exactly what I'll do with it, but you can have dibs on the cruise control.
I honestly haven't tested it, the stupid PO broke the cruise lever but said it worked before that happened. I bought a cruise stalk from Unearth078 like 2 days before this happened.
I was hoping to save the car but I just can't afford to maintain 3 e30s right now. It would be a great track rat or something but the timing really sucks financially.
I would get a lawyer but I'm broke as a joke right now... I may ask the lawyer involved in my motorcycle case for his opinion, but he is an injury lawyer so might not want to get involved.Leave a comment:

OT- are you parting that thing? If so, I want to but the cruise control unit and bowden cable to the throttle body. :) Sorry to pull a r3v move on ya.Leave a comment:
