Got rear ended possible right off!

A little background on the car. 92 325ic Mtech II cabbie. I bought it a couple years ago as a project for my son and i. It was going to be his first car. He is taking driving lessons right now and is two weeks away from getting his drivers license.

    Before:

    After:

Stopped at a light yesterday and the driver behind me ran into me. Pushed in my bumper and the rear light panel. Sorry no pics yet. Bodyshop says probable total loss. Should i keep it, part it out or fix it?

Get your kid a winter beater. Fix that car over the winter. Gonna be damn cold in your parts. Go Leafs!

Hate to break it to you but i was using it as my winter beater until he gets his license. I'll wait to see what happens with insurance values etc.
Any ideas on value for this car? It has almost all maintenance done, timing belt, cooling system, brand new IE SS catback exhaust, hardtop...
I was getting just ready to rebuild the front and rear suspension.
