Stretched tires: Don't hate the player, hate the game.
they obviously became popular because people like them. It doesnt matter if they are infunctional, its Obviously for looks. Sort of liek 1910 T-buckets with Supercharged hemis, yet have no seats, seat belts, or......traction.
I doubt he takes it to the track, or cares about doing mad autocross times. Maybe you should bash him/ the car, if that is what it was built for. And If it is a daily driver. stretched tires do have an advantage.
Less width of the tires say 185 compared to 205 is less friction on the road therefore better gas mileage. So in the end it really is functional for the purpose, and he can still run mad fat wheels that look great. because I think 16/6 ronal turbos arent gonna look as good with 195s as 16/9s......

Lol. Reminds me of the GF halloween thread.
I just think its a dead horse. Yes, you could fit bigger rubber ( in theory) and some people dont like the look.
Some do.Leave a comment:

I'll be happy when I have a car with each. Big beefy sticky rubber on the S52 car, and wide wheels and stretch on the M42 car.Leave a comment:

No kidding.
I know this is a forum where everyone's entitled to their own opinion but we could at least respect (or not care about) what the other member has to say. It doesn't have to be a stupid debate all the time about the same damn thing.Leave a comment:

Seen it in person at bimmerfest. Looks just as good and the owner is a true car guy. His wife stitched a lot of the houndstooth interior... Really damn nice.Leave a comment:
