    Cleaning Headliner

Any tips on cleaning the headliner? More specifically the sunroof area, it got kinda dirty in the past 22 years, and I want to clean it but I don't want to use too harsh of a chemical, replacing headliner is a bitch. The headliner's color is tan if it means anything. Super paranoid on fucking it up.

    Mr. Clean Magic Eraser sponge.

Be prepared to do the entire headliner though cause this gets it pretty clean.

Thank you! I'm really getting into making the interior the way I want it, dyed carpets, newly upholstered seats, newer dash parts, etc. Just got a short checklist to finish off and the interior should be looking legit.

Didn't make a mess at all. I very lightly soaked the sponge, did a little scrubbing, then used a dry cloth to take up the moisture once the dirt was gone. Sometimes a spot wouldn't lift so I'd drench the sponge and squeeze the chemical onto the cloth, and use it's rougher surface to really scrub the junk out. Now my headliner is spotless, looks brand new, that sponge really did the work. Even got the marks left on the sunroof headliner from mechanical parts! :pimp: If you haven't cleaned your headliner already do it now, you'll be grinning ear to ear after.

Haha mine had two small green lines that looked like the light green coloring pencils, a few dirty spots by the oh shit handles and tons of dirty blackness near the sunroof, looks new now. I recommend going side to side, then front to back when cleaning trouble spots, then circular if it still wont lift, then going over the whole top for good measure.
