thank you! you beat me to it!
if you run a wet system you should
be fine. remember that you are not goint to be putting a 100hp shot on a stock motor, but if you use the 25% hp rule you should be fine as long as your motor is not worn out.
i have run as much as a 50hp shot on several A-2 VWs (stock motors) without any issues. it makes for a fun car, just don't be a dumb ass with it. before you go doing it make sure the motor is in decent shape and check the price of refilling the bottles. refill pricing has taken a decent jump in the last few years.
one issues i did run into with the single fogger kit was that:
A. when you put it through the intake boot like they say to in the instructions, it will try to push itself out of the boot after a few shots from the pressure at the nozzel.
B. it tends to freeze teh throttle shaft so that it will not close all the way when you let off after using it. that just leads to a momentary high idle until it thaws out.
i solved both of these by machining a 1/2" plate to go inbetween the intake manifold and the throttle body, then tapping it for the fogger nozzle. that gives it a solid mounting point and puts it behind the throttle plate so it can't freeze it.
