      Have fun reading. My friend did mine without a mod chip, if you don't mind missing out on xbox live do what I did. Modchips are 40-80 bucks that could get you better stuff for yourself / food / gas. My take on it.

          is it possible to chip the new slim PS2 so that it plays all region of DVDs and DVD-R/Ws?
