Hahahahah......I saw the link to this site from Vortex (I'm VW97Jetta on Vortex), and this dude cracks me up.Originally posted by SkafrogThere is no way. He cant tell what color is coolant? He would know before putting his engine BACK IN.
I am calling a DAMN good hoax. This guy is a professional. Gumby knows how to work an audience.
As far as the coolant, I thought he said he bought it before he took everything apart, but I could be wrong. Plus, on VWs, they have a closed system, so the only way to tell what color the coolant is would be to see it in the coolant expansion tank. If the car is low enough on coolant and it doesn't fill the tank......if you're a dumbass, then you won't know what kind/color coolant you'll have. On the OBDI cars, they typically had G11 (Green), and OBDII cars have G12 (pink)....although around the 1996 model is when they started changing over, so some OBDII cars still had the G11 fluid.
We're all rooting for 'em to get his car actually running, but he'll probably just fuck it up again, so who knows.Comment

Some asshole mod decided to black hole the thread on Vortex because everyone and their brother from all over was signing up on Vortex to bash the dude. It was a real classic. He has another few threads up, and his car is currently out of comission again, but it actually wasn't his fault this time.Comment
