    E30 JPS edition

Long story short. I recently moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and was searching for a e30. I sumbled upon this car. The owner says it is JPS limited edition. DO not know whether this is the real deal. If it is infact JPS edition, then I really missed the boat, the car was sold few days before I found it.
It says '84 e30 yet it has post-88 rear lights.

You better buy that, that thing is damn sexy. Highly doubt it's an 84... Full mtech 2 kit elipsoids etc. I can't tell if it has the early rear arches

I think there was a JPS edition of an E30 M3 in Australia or South Africa, never heard of a regular e30 being the JPS. Proly a modified example with the badge on it, looks clean

There is a John player special e30 (non m3). Mechanicals are stock 323i. They pop up for sale every now and then down here.
They have the e30 (real) recaros, and a really ugly rear plate filler. Gold weaves/bottles and black/gold Jps badges on the steering wheel, gear knob, wheels, and C pillar. Oh and the are early models. Some had a pfeba spoiler as well.
They definitley do not have a chrome "BMW JPS" badge on the trunk. I've never even seen that before.

That car just looks like a really awesome mtech 2. Could be a JPS interior though?..

I'll try find a pic of a real one.

          Ok ok here we go:
(these are all australian cars btw)

This ones been for sale for ever!

There were indeed e21s and early e30s made to the JPS theme for Australia-only. It was to commemorate the JPS 635CSi race victories.

Brake harder. Go faster. No shit.

Well if that's the case this car matches the said description of the real JPS edition (atleast 1/2 way) 'cos this car is 323 eventhough the badge says 320, and it has this ugly rear plate filler and some dope interior. May be a replica.
As for the M-tech stuff, you can find shit load of tech stuff here, plus euro. No US versions here (diving boards).
Only shitty part is it is not that easy to find 2-door e30s, but full of 4-doors. Ratio is like 1:50

From the pictures that you gave us, that doesn't seem to look anything like the description of a JPS, it may have a recaro interior and it is one hell of a car but there are no JPS badges (other than that thing on the trunk, which isnt real) it has an oem plate filler, ACS pedal covers and badge on front, LATE MODEL, full tech2 kit. To me it doesn't look like it matches the description or images of any of the real JPS cars posted, other than the fact it's a 323. It's still a really well built car though!

Yeah I knew it was too good to be true. ANyway, it's a nice e30 which was sold for around $3500

Looks like there used to be an ///M badge on that thing that they took off too. I bet it's a mishmash car.

Top car has the wrong wheels. They never came with bottlecaps IIRC.

The plate-filler isn't JPS-spec either. I've seen them on some early E30s, not just "JPS" ones.

There were JPS special editions marketed in Australia for the E21 323i, E30 323i and E24 635CSi (in Highline-spec). My dad's mate had a JPS 6er back in the day and it came with 16" BBS RS wheels on it from the factory. Drool.

Nice shaker scoop moulded into the bonnet.

I love ACS Type 1 rims.
