    87 325 and 89 325i

what parts from an 87 325 and an 89 325i can be swapped/ i wasnt even aware there was just a 325 model. what is the difference between the 325 and the 325e i think both have a 2.7L? just wondering if it is worth getting a 87 325 if there is nothing i can do to the 89 325i with it.

    No parts can be swapped.

Any part you swap will result in immediate differential failure.

If not the differential, the left parking brake shoes will surely fail.

            ok,ok

guess i asked a stupid question. i thought the 325 was a 2.7L and the 325i was 2.5. excuse my ignorance on the subject, but humor me and explain a little. i am honestly not a dumb shit, just don't know this.

you are correct. last 2 numbers represent the engine size.

Eta was designed around fuel efficiency and torque.

i motor was higher revving and provided more HP.

There's more similar than different between the two cars, minus the engine of course.

Etas are not worth as much as the i cars. But they are low revving and will go forever. The eta is a great car for a first time driver. Not too much HP to get you in trouble, and you can driver the E30 chassis into a brick wall and walk away.

                ^^^What he said.

Early eta's (325e's) were only badged as 325. They are the same however.

What exactly were you looking to swap? Or were you just going to buy it to have around in case you needed something?
