    The Damage Has been Done

I sadly say that I have crashed my beloved car. Last night I accelerated after taking a right turn at the local university and ended up sideways in the pouring rain and when I tried to correct it I lost the car and the drivers side rear hit a 7 or 8 inch curb very hard and the car hopped right up onto the grass. I limped the car to the front of a building about 100 feet down the road. At this point I put the car in drive again and it sounded like it was just spinning and the car would just sit there. There was also a slight grinding noise. The rim is pretty jacked up but I was just wondering if you guys had even the slightest idea of what could be wrong. My brother and I are clearing some garage space now to jack it up but we can't tell what is really wrong with it quite yet.

Replaced the axle shaft assembly yesterday but found out either my control arm or subframe is busted as well. Whats the best way for going about changing the control arm and or should I purchase a new one or buy used?

I assume you mean trailing arm. Find a used one, and if you've got the money, put a wheel bearing in it while it is out of the car. Throw it in and go. You likely broke/bent the subframe as well, so just get a used one and install it. Hopefully you didn't destroy the unibody.
