M10 coolant dump on the road, WTF??

Ok i know nothing of M10s but i went to fill the coolant on my M10 car, took off the rad cap and, hey, there were the radiator innards! no coolant fill line, no overflow tank, nothing.

so i filled the coolant all the way to the top, i figured that is what I was supposed to do.

So i went to drive the car and left a 300 foot trail of coolant on the road, and the only thing i could determine was that all the coolant came out of this funny drain hose right under the radiator cap.

So is this normal? is this how the M10 radiator deals with overflow?

Thanks guys and i apologize for the noob question, i searched and found nothing.

Yeah, they will do that. I've had two of those M10 buggers. You just fill 'em up and whatever is excess will come out through the hose onto the ground. Is the level still visible when you look down inside? It should just cover the metal tubes when cold.

just fill it up, i dont know why yours is letting some much coolant out. This sounds ghetto and it is. But I had made a overflow tank for my old m10 with a bottle. It worked great becuase i had a small leak. make sure the cap is on tight after you fill up.
