    What tires for 17x9.5 rims

Hey guys, I'm in debate to wich size pick up on brand new tires. I got some rims 17x9.5 ET 55 and my e30 turbo has the e36 5 lug swapp suspension. I didn't try the rims mounted in the e30 yet, but soon. Not sure if they will fit perfect or might require some fender work.

Anyways, I want to run the widest tires I can go with the taller I can go w/o getting a goofy look and no problems rubbering the fenders on the front as well in the back.

I was thinking out of the trash, put soemthing like 265 or 255 in the back with 40 or 45 and for the front soemthing along with 235/40 or 245-35 but I would like to avoid at all cost the 35's so might be better 235/40, but not sure.

Suggestions are welcome and thanks in advance. :)

I have 245/35s on the rear of my M3-- they are stretched but fit good and no issues-- but that is also M3 fenders, so actually I am of no help. what size rim are you running on the front? 9.5 also?
