E30 just died while going to movies.

Whats the DME ? What is the black wire that runs under rear seat by the fuel pump, but against the wall toward window. I noticed a small amount of water there when i brought i took the seat off, tho not sure if it would do anything.

Where is that wire your suggest i check, and also, how can i check if the DME is bunk, aside from swapping it, with one that i dont have lol

GAH. Join the club. My issue started 4 days ago and I still haven't been able to figure it out. It's the same exact issue as you. No spark or anything. Here's my thread I posted in the PNW section:

You can jumper (look under the relay) from RED to RED/WHITE and the car should start.

Hey Luke, I also tried this but got no luck. Any other ideas to get spark?

Bimmer still down lol, anyone else live around portland that wouldn't mind giving me a hand, or letting me borrow an ECU so i could try the swapage.

Borrowed another ECU from my bmw mechanic, and its still no starting... gotta wait till my brother comes over 2 check spark while starting. Sounds the same with either ECU in there while trying to start.

After swapping ECU/Rotor/CAP, endless other things... It ended up just being the main relay... and wasn't starting when jumping it, but shes all better now
