New To Forum, My First E30

Hey everyone I am new here, traded my NA miata for a 90 325I yesterday. Blue over beige in pretty good condition. I have a few problems though
Coolant leak, anywhere specifically these cars are prone to leaking?
Oil leak, I know the oil pan gasket is pretty common.
Sloppy shifter, I am guessing I need to rebuild some of the parts
It's saying my tail lights are out when they are not.
If someone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome and I will have pics up tomorrow.

I was asking if you have LED taillights, or some silly ricer mod. Lights will work, but the check panel will inform you something is wrong.

No, The car is completely stock, please don't think that because my last car was a Miata I am a madtytejdmcooliodorrifto enthusiast. I have been working on cars since I could walk and my previous car was a 02 golf gti 1.8t big turbo, I have been part of vw vortex and the car lounge (currently on the same sn over there and before that i had a different sn)

Clean all the bulb bases/housings with a wire brush, then lubricate with dielectric grease.
Rent a pressure tester from AutoZone to find your coolant leak...

for the coolant leak first off feel on your bypass hose where it goes by the radiator cooling fan. Sometimes the fan will hit the hose and cause a tiny hole over time.

Thanks I will look for those leaks tomorrow and work on those bulbs tonight! I will also post some pictures up in the daylight, I am guessing the oil leak is from the oil pan since the records that came with the car indicate that.

for the oil leak, check the oil sensor plug in the oil pan. That may be a place.

timing belt, water pump, oil change, brake fluid flush, transmission/ differential flush, oil change, air filter, motor mounts, trans mounts, cam seal. that's most of the shit I do when I pick up an E30.
