    E34 suspension components

    Redoing my E34's suspension let me know if I missed anything. I am trying to make a list and get the part numbers from Altrom's site so I get get everything from work. They use certain names for some things that I am not used to.

    Upper and lower control arms. The lower is the thrust arm right? Also do these come with bushings? I'm getting 750i bushings and I didn't know if they came with bushings that I am going to have to remove before putting in the 750 ones.

    750 control arm bushings.

    Left and right tie rods, center tie rods

    Sway bar connectors

    Idler arms which I can't find the PN for.

    For the rear of the car I am getting
    Pitman arms
    Sway bar connectors
    Sway bar bushings, are these the same as trialing arm bushings? Because that is all that is listed.

    Shocks and struts plus new mounts all around. Everything is going to be Lemforder except the shocks/struts will be Sachs to go with new Vogtland springs.

    Sounds like you got just about everything... typically the new bushings should be already pressed into the new control arms. New front strut bearings (strut mount) are also something you may consider replacing.

      ok sounds great. Imma get the 7 series bushings anyways, I will see if my dad can press the new ones on at work. I am getting new mountss on all the corners. Do you have pictures of your 535 on the eibachs? I am still undecided, might still get the sachs sporting kit. I don't want to go too low or stiff but right now with my with my M systems and stock height it isn't looking too good in the front.

        to clear up a couple things there only 1 center tie rod, usually called the track rod. The other side of it not attached to steering box has an idler arm you can buy complete or just replace the bushing in it.

        Sway bar bushings aren't the same as trailing arms and if they aren't totally dead there's no benefit to replacing them, if you grab the sway bar and can't move it within the bushing hole then they're fine.

          Oh yea 1 center tie rod, that was a typo. I will probably change out the sway bar bushings just for peace of mind, what do you think about the trailer arm bushing? This is a 1992 with stock everything and I used to beat on it like crazy so I want to change out everything within reason and then not worry for another 2 decades, I just hope these replacement parts are close to being as good as the originals.
