Goodbye Oil Pan

Driving through downtown Charleston today I hit a dip in the road immediately followed by a man hole cover.

This was the result.

















I'm trying to file a report with the city to get compensation, but my hopes aren't high. My insurance said that they wouldn't cover it because I don't have collision. I was under the impression this would be under road hazard.

I only have Billy sports and Eibachs too, I'm not even that lowwwww...

Ohh shit man that sucks. I lost my oil pan back in June...it's a PITA. But get a skidplate ASAP!

Cool. You wrecked the hell out of your pan. makes my mishap look like a ding. At least i patched mine up so I could go to work while I found another pan (install tonight! :))

It scared the hell out of the elderly couple having lunch a few feet away. :D

How can I tell if my oil pump was damaged besides the obvious "look at it" comment? I don't wanna throw it back together just to find out that my pump is toast. :(

I was going under 5mph. I was parked less than ten feet from that turn.

I'm really hoping it's just the pan and the one radiator hose that met my alternator.

looks to far gone for that shit. its eatting into the metal by the looks of it. time for a new car.
