Throwing a rod is almost always from abuse of the motor. Especially on an M20, which is damn near indestructable.

And no, I tend to not drive like an idiot in situations where traction is basically non-existent. I like my car and would prefer to keep it not wrecked.

One of portlands most well know BMW shops.

you dont just throw a rod by driving nice... i tryed to blow my old eta motor and could not. i bounced it off the rev limiter forever and finally got annoyed so i stopped. i dont think you babied it
