So my sister drives a 1990 Pontiac Sunbird. It's a piece of shit, but that's besides the point.

Long story short, she can't unscrew the gas cap. The plastic handle rotates freely, but the inner metal seal doesn't rotate. Silly question I know, but anyone have any advice? I'm 5 hours away and can't get there to look at it, so I only know about it what you'd get from typical college chick who doesn't care about cars.

Ummm - some of those are like pill bottles, you have to push in hard AND twist - harder and harder as they get old. But I bet you already knew that.

I honestly did not. But, it's not my car. And assuming that she's filled up her own car at least once in the 4 years she's had it, I will assume she's capable of it. (but, she is a chick so I'm not entirely sure.) I do appreciate the sentiment though.
