So I just removed my rear bench and back rest and pulled back the lining and found that I have no hole there!
I could see the spot welds from the factory.
I think I'm going to be removing the rear shelf and going through the speaker holes with a flashlight.

this happend to a friend's E21...we called AMA and they took care of it...it would save you money and not braking stuff on your E30.
