    Brake light question

What causes the idiot panel brake light to stay on. What is it connected too? My brake lights work fine, all bulbs work.
    Thanks
    Barry

my knee-jerk guess would be one of the pad wear sensors on the drivers-side front or passenger-side rear brake caliper.

No, those sensors would illuminate the "brake lining" light in the cluster.

Barry, you may need to clean the contacts in the bulb carrier. I have also heard; but not confirmed, that if you have cheap aftermarket bulbs that have too high of a resistance, they will give issue. I don't know if that's true, and I kind of doubt it. I would start by pulling off the carrier, looking for corrosion and cleaning the contacts.
