ATTN: E30 318is owners... What service manual do you use?

I need a good service manual for my '91 318is. The prev. owner had a Haynes manual that he gave me for the E30 3 and 5 series but the 318is isn't covered in the manual.

So those of you with an E30 318is what do you use?

I've heard alot of good stuff about the Bentley Service Manual that covers all E30's. My Chilton wasn't that great, I'm getting a Bentley in a few days.

Don't know of any model specific manuals.

for us, manuals are only good for non-engine specific stuff.

Lots of internet resource for m42 specific stuff, that is the stuff that isnt common sense..

try a manual for e36's aswell. they are not much different from other bmw motors, but if you cant find anything, look at material for the s14

I use Bently for everything not motor related. So far Bredan's 318is site has gotten me through any engine things I've had to do.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

Don't use S14 info, they are totally different. Nothing is the same.

I would use the Bently E30 manual for the body/suspension/electrical and use a Bently E36 manual for the motor. Early E36s use M42s as well with the only main difference being the intake manifold.
