Help with Recaro e21 Seats ASAP!

    Hey whats up,
Looking at these Recaro e21 seats on ebay. Soooo much nicer then the shitty "comfort' seats i'm stuck with. I was wondering if anyone knew if these would be an easy fit into my four door 325ix. The buyers and sellers seem to be arguing about it at the bottom of the link...

Thanks ahead of time for any help offered.

I saw these yesterday and almost bought them..
It looks like they would fit..
Hell, anything would fit with enough work and money!
I'm pretty sure some people have fit e21 seats in their e30's before though.

i have these in my car and love them, here is the thing tho, for them to "bolt" in you need 4 outside recaro e21 seat rails. that means you would need 4 full sets of e21 recaro seat rails and use only one outside rail from each set.

or you can make adapters to e30 rails

i have both solutions in my car right now and could post pictures if need be

edit: i just looked at the rails in the auction and they dont look to be the proper recaro rails...

Allen key holds on the current slider, buy some of Josh's sliders and there you have it or search via a site for some BMW E30 Recaro sliders about 150 a side I think. Ebay DE has them occasionally.

Rick some pictures of your seat set up would be awesome.

M-technik: Who is the Josh your referring too? Is he a mod on this site?

They fit real nice, I made a riser for mine to work. The inside rail fits fine and bolts right up, the outside rail requires a spacer, its basically shaped like C, and IIRC is i think 2 1/8th tall. if you decide to get these seats, i can make you a set of these risers no problem. ill see if i can get you a picture of the risers in a little while.

                Dan.... That is fucking sexy....
How far forward do they go? My comfort seats are set up way to far back...

They go far enough forward for me, im 5'10 and i can get i think one click farther forward than i am comfortable. But the bolsters do hit the center console before they go all the way forward for me. Oh and just looked at the ebay auction again, those dont have the same sliders as mine do, nor do those have the stuff under the seat for the seat to go forward and backwards and stop. The undersides are missing a bit of parts. Youd need new adjustment brackets and such.

you can buy josh's or you can get sliders from a porsche 924, 944, or 911 then weld them to your bmw seat rails like i did with my trophys. there is pics of my set up in the recaro thread. unless you do it my way or use josh's you will run into some problems with mounting the stock seatbelts to your seat bottom. the other option is to run harnesses like a schroth 4 point like i did. my factory belts were crapping out and i had these lying around.
