you can also rent them from autozone or advance if you want to be a little more gentle with them.

Sometimes the halfshafts get really stuck.

In this case, heat the hub a bit with a torch, then try to pound the axle out, or rent a puller (free) from Autozone / Advance Auto Parts.

well, I have an air hammer; but I can't even get the axle nut off. I'm sorry if this sounds really noob, but I've tried it all and just cant get it... So I looked in my Bentley manual and it Looks like you have to turn the axle out of the nut; where as I was trying to turn the nut off of the axle. I could try heat, but am I just doing this wrong?

This may seem like a stupid question but did you take the secure plate that is around the axle nut? Because that will prevent you from getting that nut off. If you haven't taken it out, you will have to chisel that thing out.

Take off the nut locking plate. Hit the axle nut with some penetrating lube, hit the axle nut with a nice 1/2 inch drive air gun.
