That's one fantastic video. I was in my teens/20's during the 80's and I was glued to this racing whenever possible, of course there was no Speed Channel, satellite, etc.

That's what I hate about modern racing. I know it will never happen but they should have less restrictions and regulations on the cars, more unpredictability. like 60's BTCC.

they had tons or restrictions back then too-- just cheating was allowed! One of the mech. at my job was a mech for a few of the DTM teams back then-- his storys of COKE, WOMEN and S14s that only held 2 rounds for qualifying before they came apart are incredible-- says the 2 teams with the mustangs were out of Berlin- and were there "just for the party!"
BTW-- some guy on ebay.de still sells the DVDs of each season- I have quite a few- awesome.

The 70's had a variety of American Muscle and EU smaller cars with bigger engines shoehorned in.

Back when Speed was a real channel and not the NasCar network they would show older races in the evenings.
