    removing the door stop

my drivers side door stop is broken so it swings freely. I tried to take an arm off of an e30 at a pick n pull and i couldn't get the arm off the door frame. I took off the door panel and then unbolted the 2 10mm bolts that hold it to the door, and i took off the bottom clip on the section of the arm that attaches to the door frame, but after that i couldn't take the pin (or whatever it is that holds the arm to the frame) out. do you just push the pin up with some force to disconnect it, and then thread the door stop through the door itself? anyone done this?

Yep, you have to get something like a screwdriver to get on the uderside of the pin, and tap it with a hammer. It'll come out with a little persuasion.
