Malaysia / Taiwan / SE Asian members?

IIRC, doesn't ChrisE30Cab live in Malaysia, as well as 6piston? (silver M-Tech II w/ ACS replicas)

Just struck me today, I hope they are all right, as well as the thousands of others killed, wounded and missing in those most unfortunate countries.

yeah, Chris is up there. hope he's ok. im guessing we might not here from him for a while either way, being that lots of amenities are down.

thoughts go out to all in the area.

Chris is in S'pore, 6piston is in Southern Malaysia just across the strait from S'pore... While I'm in the Central region of Malaysia...

The areas worst hit by the tsunami tidal waves are the coastal area in the northern region... death toll in Malaysia is now at 60. Mostly beachgoers in the Penang island and those living close to the sea.

Thanks for the concern....what a bunch of waves  I guess a surfers dream ey Digitalwave ;)

Anyhow, as Fabian mentioned Singapore & most of Malaysia were unaffected since they are land locked coastlines on the west. Pity though, could you imagine taking a morning stroll on the beach and then noticing all the water being sucked out to sea only to be hit by a 30ft wave a minute or so later :( In Sri Lanka the waves reached 2km inland. The waves also went as far as freakin Africa.............mercy!!

I think the death count is above **edit** 55,000 now.....so sad, but I guess it really shows the power of the sea & earthquakes.
