how was your xmas drive?... pics from mine

so this xmas i had to drive from North Brunswick, NJ to Peterborough, NH to Manchester, NH to Whenham, MA and then back to North Brunswick, NJ to go see all my family over xmas weekend... round trip about 750 miles.. half of which was the kick ass ride back to NJ in a snowstorm.. only took me about 8.5 hours to get back home on what should normally take about 3-3.5 (hey i drive fast and know all the shortcuts)

but anyways... check out the snazzy new body kit i got on my fiances car from the trip.. its about 2-3 inches thick solid ice.. kept having to pull over to chip it off the headlights so that i could see... took me about 30 min. to chisel off the rest of it this morning... and that car was sparkling clean when i left =(

and so you think that maybe they could even attempt to plow the roads... most of the trip i was driving on major interstates with 2" of snow on the road surface

whatever tho driving in snow is still a blast.. gotta love being growing up in new england and being able to handle it no problem... i cant even count how many cars i saw trying to drive home from southern states that were totally freaking out.... and you gotta love seeing a escalade stretch limo taking an on ramp in a full drift.. i think that had to be the greatest thing i have ever seen... ohh and the H1 on its roof on the side of I-84 in CT was a nice touch too...

My drive is 450 miles one way back to my parents house. Not a bad trip, just takes 6.5 hours of boring highway except for a nice 30mile jaunt through HWY 41 connecting hwy 101 and I-5. This is a fast paced run of rolling hill twisties that never gets old, its awesome!
At least when I drive home to Santa Barbara this time I will have my new Sirius radio installed so I can enjoy commercial-free non-stop tunes of many varities. 8)

I drove a lifted grand cherokee with egg shaped 35's 300 miles home(where I had to rebuild the rear drums), then back to school...and I have to do it again in 4 days. I blew 2 speakers on the way home trying to get my music loud enough to hear over my tires :|
