guess i have no time to do stuff, but alot of time to think

well... i guess i'm working a boring enough job that i really have to keep my mind occupied by funny ideas, cuz another idea popped into my head the other day, kinda like my *cough*honda*cough* sideskirt idea 8)

i think i'm gonna passively look into modifying (ie, elongating) a stock airbox (and the baffle behind the drivers side headlight) to accomidate a cone filter... interesting? yes... possible? no idea

using my crazy fat MS Paint skillz yo, i've made a little picture of what i think it would look like

That picture is the funniest thing I have ever seen ;)
I have thought about doing that with a cone filter too.

        But I am very lazy.

            Thats.......beautiful.

No, but seriously, it aint a bad idea. I don't really see the advantages to using the cone filter though, considering they don't flow that much better than the regular "drop-in" type. You might be better off just ditching the factory airbox and starting from scratch....but then you'd just have the "regular" CAI. Interesting.

It sounds like a do-able idea, but there's not really much point. You will get the same amount of airflow as with a K&N panel filter.

So, the same flow, but wouldn't it sound cooler? or, no? ;)

The sound would most likely just be muffled by the airbox.

Sup Oreo thanks for the link

I'm Already planning to do that, well if its what ithink he's doing, like a heatshield?? or using the old housing some how. i plan to go and get myself a k&n cone filter and make a heatshield, but with my own design that i don't plan to share until later :). if his idea is what im thinking about with different words whoever said it would be the same is wrong, because cone filter would have more suction if i may, and with the shield it'll be cooler.
