    Is it worth it

Hey guys I'm currently looking for a new daily driver.

I found this local car on craigslist,

Car has about 180k miles on it, and paint is faded on the top, some small dings.

Spoke to the seller and he sounds honest, but i think the price is a bit too high.

    Any advice is appreciated,

$2500 tops.... ask what maint/service it had... or pay for PPI.

Red will clean up super well with some elbow grease. As long as it's a single stage...

        $3000 is too high.

I only paid $1400 for my 318. Granted, mine is just an 4dr i. But it only had 155k miles, NO fading, and a near-perfect interior.

Check to see if it has rust anywhere (battery compartment, floorboards, rocker panels) , check the accuracy of the guage cluster, give the suspension a thorough looking over. Basically pick the car apart with a fine-toothed comb out loud in front of him, and see if you can lower the price to $2k. You'd be surprised where some crafty negotiating can get you.

Def. not worth 3k. I paid that for my car and It only had 130k miles on it, paint was in great shape, and mint interior.
